Job summary

CEC FACILITIES LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to support install, maintain, and test electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role requires learning under Journeymen and Master Electricians and maintaining safety protocols on a safety-sensitive site.

You will travel up to 25% and must obtain an annual State approved Electrical Apprentice License. A high school diploma or better is required, with a valid driver's license and reliable

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must obtain and renew annually a State approved Electrical Apprentice License (must be licensed in TX).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in a commercial and industrial setting.
• Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
• Installs or helps install electrical components.
• Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
• Keeps materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly and properly working fashion and the work area clean and organized at all times.
• Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
• Assists in wire pulls, mounting, and strapping.
• Understands and complies with safety requirements at all times.
