Job Description: Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician responsible for electrical maintenance and repair in an industrial environment. The role includes the following principal accountabilities:

• Maintenance and repair of motors, control boxes, PLCs, variable speed drives, and starters.
• Run conduit and wiring, replace parts as needed, and install/remove machinery.
• Follow emergency procedures when lights go out in the plant.
• Maintain records and files, ensure housekeeping, and adhere to lockout/tag out procedures.
• Clean up at the end of each job.
• Monitor, record, and take appropriate action for Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, and prerequisite program requirements; report issues to management.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong electrical background with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an industrial electrician preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Teamwork and good communication skills.
• Background in industrial electricity with basic PLC understanding.
• Ability to follow instructions, perform manual labor, and complete paperwork accurately.
• Detail-oriented, able to handle pressure, multi-task, and use PC for troubleshooting.

Additional Training & Certifications

• Complete apprenticeship or have applicable schooling credits.
• Training in safety, lockout procedures, GMP, and Food Safety for Maintenance.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, squat, bend, twist, pinch, grasp, and handle tools.
• Must lift up to 80 pounds and move parts over 100 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.

Compensation

Pay: $30-$37/hour (based on experience) + $1.00/hour shift premium!
