Job description

To maintain all electric motors, control boxes, starters, and PLCs operation of all electric equipment and repair.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance and repair of motors
• Maintenance on control boxes
• Maintenance on starters
• Run conduit and wiring
• Replace parts as needed
• Install and remove machinery
• Know emergency procedures when lights go out in plant
• Follow procedures for lockout/tag out

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong background in electrical systems
• 3 years’ experience as an industrial electrician preferred

• Basic PLC understanding and usage skills
• Ability to understand and execute basic instructions while performing manual tasks
• Proficiency in basic math, reading, and writing for completing paperwork and projects

• On-the-job training including: credit for applicable schooling, PC troubleshooting, safety schooling, lockout procedures, electrical repair and maintenance, MP2 training, work order and purchase request writing, GMP, and food safety for maintenance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling, bending/stooping, twisting, pinch grip, grasping/handling
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds and move parts over 100 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
