Triamid Construction & Maintenance is a multi-site facility maintenance company located in the Sacramento area. Our skilled Service Electrician will service our commercial facility clients in the Bay Area with work orders dispatched from our Sacramento headquarters.
Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at the Skilled Journeyman level and completes plumbing, carpentry and hardware repair and installation work at the Skilled Apprentice level when required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Inspect electrical systems to locate trouble and determine need for repairs
- Repair, maintain and install electric circuits, motors, heaters, transformers, switchboards and other electrical equipment
- Perform plumbing, carpentry and hardware repair and installations as required on the jobsite
- Select and prepare lists and order materials for the job
- Draw diagrams and sketches and help prepare estimates of job costs
- Maintain work records and prepare reports
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and equipment at the journey-level without outside assistance
- Ability to perform plumbing, carpentry and hardware repair and installations at the skilled apprentice-level
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits and equipment
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code and Electrical Safety Orders of the Division of Industrial Safety
- Ability to read, interpret and work from plans, detailed drawings and specifications
- Ability to estimate costs of electrical work, coordinate work effort, prepare material lists and order material and equipment for work orders and projects
- Ability to supervise up to 5 technicians
- Possess California State electrical certification
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Ability to comprehend and exercise customer skills required to work in a retail environment
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position
- Ability to respond on call when assigned
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
- Ability to travel
- Other duties assigned by supervisor
Reporting To This Position:
- This position is a supervisory role and is expected to manage other colleagues on the jobsite and may be assigned as Lead Technician on work orders.
Essential Personal Tools & Equipment:
The following tools and equipment are essential for completing work orders and are expected to be provided by the employee*:
- Personal safety equipment, hard hat, gloves & glasses
- General hand tools such as hammers, screw drivers, wire stripers, tape measure, squares, levels, chalk line, pliers, wire cutters, utility knife, pry bars, caulking gun, sanding block
- Small power tools, circular saw, cordless 3/8" drill driver, corded ½" drill, flashlight
- Safety equipment, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves
- Voltage indicator (sniffer), circuit tester (Knopp or Wiggins type)
