Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. seeks a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support commercial electrical projects across Northern California. The role requires flexibility, including overnight shifts and travel to multiple job sites as needed.

You will install conduit, pull conductors, wire panels, read blueprints, and coordinate with foremen to keep projects on schedule. Must hold a valid DIR Journeyman license and be able to work third shifts, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (DIR)
• Ability to travel to multiple Northern California job sites
• Willingness to work overnight/third shifts and travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, MC, ROMEX)
• Install wiring, raceways, boxes, and electrical components
• Pull and terminate conductors in panels and distribution systems
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels
• Troubleshoot installation issues and malfunctions
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades
• May perform other jobsite duties as assigned

Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted provider of skilled trade services, supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are currently seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support our commercial electrical projects at various stages of construction throughout California. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts and travel assignments.

Schedule

• Sunday through Thursday 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the DIR
• Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Northern California
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
