The Reading School District in Reading, PA seeks a skilled Electrician to perform journeyman level installation, service and repair across multiple systems including electrical distribution, emergency lighting, HVAC, and fire alarm networks.
This full-time role requires a completed 4-year electrical apprenticeship, a valid City of Reading Journeyman’s License and PA Operator’s License. The position offers variable hours and periodic on-call work in a school environment.

Performs journeyman level installation, service and repair to various systems including, but not limited to, electrical distribution, emergency lighting, telephone, street/parking lot lighting, HVAC, security, fire alarms and intercoms.
$27.69 per hour
Other duties may be assigned.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus satisfactory completion of an approved 4-year electrical apprenticeship. (Demonstrated aptitude or competence for performing work outlined under essential functions.)

The employee must frequently move and/or lift up to 50 pounds such as materials and equipment. Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to hear conversations in noisy environments. The employee must be able to drive all district vehicles. The employee is responsible to provide for the safety and well being of those within the immediate vicinity of where the essential functions of the job are being performed.
