Performs skilled maintenance and repairs, and a variety of maintenance and engineering duties for the Facilities Management Department. Assigned to work by the Facilities Management Staff on a regular basis. In addition, this position is called upon to work on projects with other trade mechanics, make rounds, and report discrepancies to the Director of Facilities or any Facilities Management Staff. This position will assist with work to ensure that work orders and preventative maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Has a general working knowledge of maintenance and repair areas. This position performs other general maintenance responsibilities not directly related to designated or licensed trades and works independently. Performs maintenance on all facility electrical system components up to and including the secondary distribution panel. Installs and repairs lighting, AC power distribution, switches, receptacles, overcurrent protection, conduit, and wiring; completes any tasks assigned by the facilities management team.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Trade School: in electrical program (Preferred)

Experience

2 Years experience as an electrician or trade experience directly related (Preferred)

License/Certifications

Driver's License (Required)

PA Licensed Electrician (Preferred)
