Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

We are seeking an Industrial Controls Electrician to join our industry-leading service team. This position offers competitive pay, full benefits, paid travel, mileage reimbursement, paid hotels, and per diem! It requires some travel and the ability to work well alone and with a team. The role involves repair, maintenance, and support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our customers. Knowledge of industrial electrical controls is essential. The position includes on-call duties. Refrigeration training will be provided.

Key Duties:

• Refrigeration repair and maintenance support for industrial accounts in food, beverage, and refrigerated storage equipment (100 HP to 5,000 HP)
• Routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment
• Use knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting of ammonia systems, and control/alarm systems
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of controls and electricity (high and low voltage)
• Understanding of three-phase motors
• Experience with 480V AC motor control circuits preferred
• PLC experience preferred (installation & troubleshooting)
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Pre-employment and regular drug testing required; no recent DUI in last 5 years
