About the role

We seek a self-directed contributor and team player to help us achieve and exceed product and business growth targets, while driving quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be part of an engineering design team developing electrical control panels and enclosures from concept through production, including component layout analysis to ensure robust, cost-effective designs, functioning as a product sustaining engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to create control box designs and features based on specifications.
  • Manage your workflow for assigned projects.
  • Assist in creating enclosure and assembly drawings with mechanical designers.
  • Manage ECN generation and implementation using Windchill.
  • Support sustaining products through quality improvements, cost reductions, and failure analysis.
  • Create models, assemblies, and perform mechanical analysis using PTC Creo.
  • Assemble and evaluate physical mock-ups of control boxes and panels.
  • Provide expertise in sheet metal, fasteners, enclosures, and electrical panels for HVAC and related industries.
  • Design enclosures meeting ingress protection standards.
  • Support layout of electrical and electro-mechanical devices and wiring harnesses.
  • Select and calculate power electronics and electromechanical devices like circuit breakers, transformers, etc.
  • Use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office for documentation.
  • Evaluate and approve components with suppliers.
  • Plan and execute assigned projects within scope and schedule.

Requirements

We look for communicative, self-oriented individuals. Minimum qualifications include:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Experience with PTC Creo or similar CAD tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced English skills

Preferred (not mandatory):

  • Project management skills
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of electromechanical devices and enclosures
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of standards like NEMA, IP, ANSI, UL, NFPA 70
