Job summary

ProPetro Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrician to maintain and repair electrical equipment powering well service systems. You will diagnose failures using manuals, perform start-up tasks, and communicate issues to teams at customer sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating spare parts with warehouses, safely operating company vehicles, and staying current with NEC/NFPA 70 standards while meeting 12+ hour shift requirements and training obligations.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Journeyman Electrician license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience as a Journeyman Electrician preferred.
  • Able to read manuals and blueprints and use diagnostic tools.
  • Willingness to stay current on NEC/NFPA 70 and certifications.

Summary
Job Description

The Electrician works under supervision to maintain and repair electrical equipment used to control and provide power to well service equipment; works with warehouses to maintain sufficient electrical fleet (E-Fleet) spare parts inventory; and uses training and technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment failures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment used to control and provide power to well service equipment
  • Use training and technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment failures
  • Start up and operate basic electrical equipment
  • Respond via telephone, radio, and other methods to communicate about electrical problems on equipment and at customer locations
  • Identify and address electrical problems on well service equipment
  • Learn to utilize the organization’s information systems
  • Work cross-functionally with warehouses to maintain sufficient E-Fleet spare parts inventory
  • Ensure provided company vehicle is properly serviced, inspected, and maintained
  • Safely drive company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
  • Perform general housekeeping and routing maintenance of company property
  • Attend all required training associated with the role
  • Report all observed safety hazards to supervisor
  • Remain available to adjust work schedule when necessary, work alternative shifts when requested by supervisor, and remain on call when required
  • Utilize stop work authority when required
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) polices by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Journeyman Electrician, preferred
  • Technical Associate’s degree preferred and may be considered in lieu of experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required
  • Maintaining a current, valid Journeyman Electrician license, required
  • Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
  • Must possess basic knowledge of electrical equipment used in well servicing
  • Must stay current on continuing educations requirements (i.e., National Electrician Code (NEC), NFPA 70, etc.)
  • Must attend all organization required training and be willing to obtain any certification deemed necessary
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, can effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Able to read instruction manuals, blueprints, utilize diagnostic tools, and follow directions
  • Basic computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office 365 applications, and able to quickly learn other work related software
  • Safety conscious, observant, and willing to use stop work authority when necessary
  • Must be physically able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must be available to adjust work schedule and remain on call when required
  • Must be physically able to safely perform duties in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
  • Must be physically able to remain alert and safe during exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noises
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Must be physically able to safely lift or move 50 lbs. without assistance
