Job summary

ARAUCO - North America in Malvern, AR is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our 12-hour rotating shift. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of mill machinery with emphasis on electrical systems and PLC controls.

Ideal candidates will have strong diagnostic skills, 5+ years in industrial maintenance, and proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and motor control. The position includes competitive benefits and a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma completed.
  • 5+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated electrical and technical aptitude.
  • Allen Bradley PLC knowledge.
  • Three years AC & DC motor control experience including drives.
  • Three years electrical troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of mill machinery.
  • Provide electrical support for hydraulics, pneumatics, hot oil systems, pumps, fans and conveyors.
  • Replace motors, motor starters, sensors, and variable frequency drives.
  • Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs and control networks.
  • Troubleshoot plant instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
  • Maintain mill power distribution (480V, 575V, 4160V and 13.8kV).
  • Document work in CMMS.
  • Promote safe work practices (LOTO, confined space, hot work).

What We Are Looking For
  • High school diploma

In This Role, You Would
  • Conduct installation, maintenance, preventive/predictive maintenance, setup, troubleshooting and repair of mill machinery
  • Provide electrical support and maintenance for hydraulics, pneumatics, hot oil systems, pumps, fans and conveyors
  • Replace: Motors (low voltage and high voltage), motor starters, sensors, and variable frequency drives
  • Provide troubleshooting of Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers (plc), associated I/O and control networks
  • Troubleshoot plant control instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters)
  • Maintain mill power distribution system (480V, 575V, 4160V and 13.8kV)
  • Document all work performed in the CMMS
  • Promote safe work practices including LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, etc
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
  • Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.
