Job summary

Evolution Hospitality seeks an Electrician to oversee daily operations of hotel electrical systems. The role includes maintenance, troubleshooting, code compliance, and collaboration with Engineering Management to keep downtime minimal.

You will train others, read schematics, install conduits, and support guest functions while adhering to safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Licensed electrician in the state of employment.
  • Ability to work on electrical systems from low voltage up to 480V.
  • Ability to track labor and materials for billing.
  • Ensure work meets codes and regulations.
  • Day-to-day operations and repairs throughout the property.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Familiar with equipment controls.
  • Proficient with volt/ohm meters and test equipment.
  • Assist in renovations, repairs and alterations to electrical apparatus.
  • Maintain safe condition of power distribution and electrical systems; report malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
  • Write routine reports, logs and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Keep equipment in good repair with minimum downtime via day-to-day maintenance under Engineering Management.
  • Support and improve engineering services addressing problems affecting guests and associates.
  • Willing to train and instruct other staff in knowledge and skills.
  • Aim to become an independent mechanic, analyze problems and plan quick, quality work.
  • Punctual duty reports with proper uniform and name badge.
  • Understand and adhere to the employee handbook policies.
  • Perform duties to the standard set by department and company.
  • Bid jobs and track time and materials to ensure profitability where applicable.
  • Familiar with codes; read schematics and blueprints.
  • Set up electrical systems for guest functions.
  • Install conduit runs.
  • Be familiar with generator transfer switch, motors, and controllers.
  • Keep engineering/work areas clean.
  • Adhere to fire and safety procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of facilities and related services.
  • Attend meetings/training and perform other duties as required.

Job description

The Electrician is responsible for the day to day operation of the electrical systems for the property.

  • Be a licensed Electrician in therespective state of employment.
  • Ability to work on electrical systems from low voltage up to 480v.

  • Responsible for ensuring work performed is completed meeting all codes and regulations.
  • Responsible for the day to day operations and repairs of the electrical systems throughout the property.
  • Be able to troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Be familiar with equipment controls.
  • Be proficient with electrical volt / ohm meters and other electrical test equipment.
  • Assists in related areas of work, that is, renovations, repairs and alterations to electrical apparatus.
  • Maintain in safe condition all power distribution and electrical systems throughout the hotel, and reports all malfunctions to their supervisor asap.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, safety awareness information, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, keep logs, and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers and fellow workers.
Job Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities to the standard set by the department and company.
  • As applicable, this position will need to demonstrate the ability to bid jobs, and complete work, while tracking time and material to ensure profitability.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with codes and is able to read schematics and blue prints.
  • Set up electrical systems for guest functions.
  • Install conduit runs.
  • Be familiar with generator transfer switch, motors, and controllers.
  • Keep engineering and work areas clean.
  • Ensure a complete understanding of and adheres to company’s fire and safety procedures.
  • Maintains sound knowledge of company’s facilities and related services.
  • Attend meetings, training, and/or perform other duties as required.
