The Bourbon Orleans Hotel is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the property's facilities maintenance, ensuring reliable operation and compliance across all engineering systems. You will supervise maintenance staff, manage budgets, and drive preventive programs in a historic New Orleans setting.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in related hotel engineering roles, with prior management experience and a maintenance or trades background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; at least 5 years of experience in a hotel or related field, with prior management experience.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is required, with a trade license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Apply extensive experience in engineering, maintenance and related fields to ensure efficient operations.
• Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, handling problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Convey information clearly and listen to issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic to support maintenance operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance requests, schedule maintenance and ensure regulatory compliance.
