Job summary

Corporate Inn Sunnyvale is seeking an Engineer Lead to manage daily hotel maintenance operations and lead the engineering team to ensure top-notch property performance. You’ll drive preventive maintenance, respond to guest requests quickly, and oversee safety, schedules, and records.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and hands-on maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related trades in a hospitality setting. A proactive, guest-centric approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record required (property specific).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and handle financial information and basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance crew and assign projects to keep daily operations smooth.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to guest calls promptly.
• Address safety issues and mitigate hazards to protect guests and staff.
• Motivate and organize the engineering team, manage schedules, and coordinate tasks.
• Respond quickly to guest room fixes and maintain a positive guest experience.
• Conduct regular grounds checks, lighting, irrigation, pool/spa health-code compliance.
• Maintain maintenance forms and records; assist with meetings and events as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
