Job summary

Illinois Cement Company is seeking an electrically skilled technician to complete an accredited training program and support maintenance of process instrumentation and control systems. The role requires understanding of AC/DC motors, PLCs (Allen Bradley), safe work practices, and ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Overtime may be required for plant outages; relocation within 45 minutes is preferred. Starting pay is $41.52 per hour and benefits include medical, vision, tuition reimbursement, and

• Complete accredited electrical training program
• Starting pay is $41.52 per hour
• Understand of both AC and DC motors
• Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and motor control systems
• Safe work history and ability to demonstrate safe work practices
• Maintain analyzer equipment for monitoring process and environmental controls
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Willing to work outdoors in all conditions
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Ability to climb and work at heights
• Basic computer skills
• Union membership with United Steel Workers

Job description

This position is primarily Monday through Friday -Day Shift. An applicant must be willing to work overtime on a callout/plant issue (unplanned) or scheduled (planned) plant outage basis.

• Must be willing to re-locate - recommend less than 45 minutes away.
