Job summary

USG in Aliquippa is seeking an Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems within our manufacturing plant, following safety policies and reading wiring schematics. The role uses electrical test equipment and requires teamwork to ensure high-quality, safe operations.

Shifts run 7 am–3 pm with rotating 12-hour shifts after training; occasional night shifts are possible. Starting hourly pay ranges from $31.30 to $41.75, with comprehensive benefits and strong

  • Basic mechanical maintenance skills are required.
  • Ability to interpret and perform tasks from printed work orders.
  • Basic computer skills to complete safety training and review emails.
  • Ability to operate equipment including forklifts.
  • Familiar with common hand tools and their proper use.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Industrial Electrician:

Schedule (7 am – 3 pm) and rotating to 12 hrs. every 4 weeks after trained. 12 hours shift will be primarily 7 am – 7 pm. There may be an occasional night shift 7 pm – 7 am but rare.

Starting hourly payrate $31.30 - $41.75 per hour

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Work safely as a top priority by adhering to the plant’s accident prevention policies. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Safely install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical components within the manufacturing plant.
  • Maintain, test and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
  • Develop skill set to troubleshoot advanced control system and instrumentation equipment including PLC controls.
  • Interpret and use wiring schematics.
  • Operate electrical test equipment inherent to the job.
  • Know and understand NEC codes, become trained in NFPA-70E, and practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
