Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, including installing and repairing equipment.

• Inspects, installs, and replaces electrical circuits, sockets, switches, and appliances.
• Uses electrical test equipment to isolate defects.
• Installs new wiring and electrical components for machinery.
• Installs conduit as required.
• Dismantles machinery or appliances to troubleshoot and repair.
• Maintains records of tests and repairs.
• Maintains the emergency power system generator, fire alarm system, and energy management systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with apprentice or trade school training.
• At least two years of hands-on electrical experience.
• Licenses: Master or Journeyman/wireman Electrical license through Texas, El Paso, or equivalent.
