Job summary

Hunt Electric is seeking a skilled BIM Designer 3 to join our electrical VDC team in Minnesota. You will develop and coordinate 3D electrical models, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure models align with BIM execution plans and project standards.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of BIM coordination or electrical design experience, proficiency in Revit, Navisworks or Revizto, and strong communication skills to manage deadlines and deliverables across medium to large projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination or electrical design within the construction industry.
• Two-year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction or similar.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks or Revizto, Bluebeam, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with BIM standards and model coordination platforms.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and refine 3D models for electrical systems using Revit.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless model integration.
• Maintain project models per BIM execution plans and standards.
• Identify and resolve clashes between electrical and other systems using clash tools.
• Prepare technical drawings and generate BOMs from BIM models.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Plan and execute BIM workflows for medium to large projects.
• Enforce BIM standards and best practices across projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve modeling workflows and train junior staff.
