Job summary

Waabi seeks an experienced Electrical V&V engineer to drive validation, testing, and certification for autonomous vehicle hardware in Pittsburgh. You will own DV/PV planning and execution, including EMC/EMI and robustness testing on prototypes and production-intent hardware.

Collaborate with design, systems, quality and software teams to integrate V&V and design-for-test, and manage external labs for pre-compliance and formal certification testing under ISO 26262 and related standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an Electrical V&V role, preferably automotive or heavy vehicle.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering.
• Understand all aspects of an automotive DV/PV process.
• Deep understanding of the automotive PPAP process.
• Working knowledge with automotive APQP.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical DV/PV - plan and execute functional and performance testing, including EMC/EMI, on prototypes and production-intent hardware.
• Build and maintain custom fixturing as necessary.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical functionality, compatibility, and performance issues; drive corrective actions to closure.
• Partner with design, systems, quality and software engineers to integrate electrical V&V and Design for Test into the wider program.
• Coordinate with external accredited laboratories for pre-compliance and formal certification testing.
