Job summary

Waabi, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, seeks an experienced Electrical/ Firmware V&V engineer to drive validation across prototypes and production hardware. You will implement ISO 26262 and UL 4600 compliant testing, co‑own DV/PV plans, and collaborate with design, quality and software teams to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an Electrical or Firmware / Software V&V role, automotive.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Understand all aspects of an automotive DV/PV process.
• Deep understanding of the automotive PPAP process.
• Working knowledge with automotive APQP.
• Experience working directly with Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 & 2 suppliers.
• On-your-feet knowledge of International automotive environmental and safety standards.
• Working knowledge of CANbus, Python, Shell, Unix OS, SPICE.

Responsibilities

• Characterize the vehicle and derive requirements, decomposing them to module and component level with bidirectional traceability to test evidence.
• Plan and execute functional and performance testing on prototypes and production‑intent hardware.
• Cooperate with mechanical and electrical V&V to perform EMI / EMC, vibration, shock, thermal, and environmental testing.
• Build and maintain HIL benches and custom fixturing and automate regression testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot firmware functionality, compatibility, and performance issues; lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure.
