Job summary

Waabi is seeking a hands-on engineer in Pittsburgh to bring up vehicles and components, troubleshoot hardware and software faults, and support the Waabi Driver fleet. You will collaborate with engineering teams to improve performance and testing efficiency while developing test plans for on-vehicle verification.

The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience debugging issues in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or similarly complex environments.
Strong hands-on experience with automotive cameras.
Proficiency with sensor data acquisition, processing, and analysis techniques.
Experience with signal processing, statistics, and machine learning algorithms.
Strong experience with Linux environments and scripting languages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for vehicle and component bringup and R&D support.
Troubleshoot and root cause software and hardware faults across vehicle platforms.
Provide technical support for software and hardware issues encountered by the autonomous vehicle fleet.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve Waabi Driver performance and testing efficiency.
Develop and execute on-vehicle test plans to verify requirements.
Document and report vehicle bringup processes and debugging steps.
