Job summary

Alpha 3 Consulting in Wilmington, DE is seeking an Electrical Distribution Engineer to support electrical utility and private distribution projects. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office (typically Tuesday-Thursday) and two days remote.

You will design distribution systems, perform field reviews, and develop CAD/GIS design packages. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, a Master’s or relevant experience, and be on track for

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or at least two years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of design experience for electric utility distribution systems.
• P.E. license or EIT with near-term licensure encouraged.
• Knowledge of distribution system components, codes, CAD/GIS tools.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and create designs and drawings for electrical distribution.
• Perform field reviews, sketches, CAD, and GIS design.
• Prepare design packages for aerial/underground distribution lines and guide designers.
