Job summary

Alpha 3 Consulting, LLC in Hamilton, NJ is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical utility and private distribution projects. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule with three office days and two remote days, based in Hamilton, NJ.

The successful candidate will design and review distribution systems, coordinate with clients and vendors, and comply with NEC/NESC standards. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in electrical/electronics engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or at least two years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in the design of electric utility distribution systems.
• P.E. license or EIT with near-term ability to obtain license.
• Knowledge of electric utility distribution systems and components.
• Utility distribution project experience, including clearance requirements, construction traffic control, and NEC/NESC codes.
• Ability to understand and incorporate comments and feedback; work with client standards.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients and interface with engineers and vendors.
• Personal time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and pride in work quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and create new designs and drawings for electrical distribution systems.
• Perform field reviews, sketches, CAD, and GIS design.
• Provide design packages for aerial and underground lines and guidance to designers and drafters.
