Job summary

Alpha 3 is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical utility and private distribution projects in a hybrid work schedule. Three days per week (Tue-Thu) are expected in the office in Hamilton, NJ, with two days from home.

The role involves designing distribution systems, performing field reviews, and using CADD and GIS to produce drawings. NEC/NESC standards knowledge and a PE/EIT with related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering required.
• Master’s degree in electrical power or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years designing electrical utility distribution systems.
• PE license or EIT with near-term licensure intent.
• Familiarity with NEC/NESC and utility distribution components.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and revise electrical distribution designs and drawings.
• Perform field reviews and create sketches using CADD and GIS.
• Develop design packages for aerial and underground distribution lines.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and vendors to ensure requirements are met.
