Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Designer for its Ontario, CA office to deliver comprehensive electrical utility design services. The ideal candidate may be SPDP-certified or have 1+ year in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission Design or Line Construction.

The role requires managing multiple projects with attention to Lighting, OH, and UG standards, using GIS and planning databases to generate accurate reports and drawings, and mentoring in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of SPDP or has 1+ year in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission Design or Line Construction.
Experience with GIS and planning databases for technical reports and drawings.
Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Familiarity with pole loading software such as SPIDA or O-Calc and related design principles.
Ability to travel up to 30% and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver Lighting, UG, and OH Utility system designs.
Manage multiple projects from small units to large complexes with deadlines.
Leverage GIS and planning databases to generate reports, calculations, and drawings.
Provide mentorship and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
Prepare accurate technical reports and documentation.
