Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Designer for our Cary, NC office to deliver comprehensive design and engineering services for diverse electrical utility projects. The ideal candidate is a graduate of SPDP or has 1+ year of Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission Design experience.

This role requires managing multiple projects with strict adherence to Lighting, Overhead, and Underground utility standards, using GIS and planning databases to generate accurate reports, calculations, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
1+ years in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission Design or Line Construction preferred.
Experience with GIS and planning databases is highly desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Design and engineering services for Lighting, UG and OH utility systems.
Manage multiple concurrent projects with adherence to standards and deadlines.
Utilize GIS and planning databases to generate reports, calculations, and drawings.
Provide mentorship and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
Travel up to 30% and work in field across service territory.
