Position Details

The Project Coordinator will support the project team throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with tasks such as client communication, report preparation, project tracking, and clerical duties. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and communicative individual capable of adapting to changing circumstances. This position is similar to an Assistant Project Manager and serves as a stepping stone to a Project Manager role.

Candidates must be located within commuting distance to our Masontown, WV office. This is an in-office position; remote or hybrid work is not available.

Essential Functions
  1. Assist in managing multiple electric utility transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
  2. Support proposal development, site visits, schedule creation, and construction planning.
  3. Coordinate project initiation, documentation, and training; establish priorities and assist with contract review and execution.
  4. Maintain communication with field leadership and document project progress, delays, and issues. Organize meetings and disseminate information to stakeholders.
  5. Monitor project deadlines and benchmarks; prepare progress reports and update cost and billing forecasts.
  6. Perform safety observations on job sites and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  7. Prepare and submit invoices, follow up on accounts receivable, and verify billing accuracy.
  8. Manage project closeout activities and maintain project files.
Requirements

  • Proficiency with iOS, Microsoft Office, SAP experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
Education & Experience

High School diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. 1-2 years of project management or utility construction experience is highly desirable, but relevant experience will be considered.

Additional Requirements
  • Frequent travel (up to 90%) within the Western Division's area, including West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and adherence to a zero-tolerance drug policy.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals; basic knowledge of power construction and maintenance.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments, including extreme weather and around high voltages.
