Job summary

Pfizer Inc. in the United States is seeking an Electrical Power Distribution Engineer to support and improve the site electrical utilities and power infrastructure.

You will oversee maintenance, reliability, lifecycle management, and capital upgrades across medium- and low-voltage systems, metering, CHP, UPS, and related equipment. You will lead engineering studies, coordinate with contractors and utility providers, and drive projects from planning through execution while prioritizing safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience OR higher qualifications.
• Experience in Electrical, Plant Utility systems design and layout for power systems and UPS.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E, NEC, NEMA, IEEE, UL, LEED codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and reliability engineering for electrical utility and power distribution systems.
• Provide technical oversight for project execution plans and engineering studies.
• Develop robust designs for capital investments and long-term reliability of electrical infrastructure.
• Review drawings and design packages for new construction and renovations.
• Collaborate with contractors and consulting engineers to optimize cost, performance and reliability.
• Lead or co-lead engineering projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with utility providers for service reliability and capacity planning.
• Support electrical safety programs including arc flash studies and NFPA 70E compliance.
