Underground Foreman

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced commercial construction electrician to lead underground installation crews supporting our electrical contracting operations in North and South Carolina. We offer competitive pay and, after a 90-day introductory period, a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401k with employer matching.

Minimum Experience Requirements

Qualified candidates should have 6+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, with specific experience in underground electrical installations on large commercial projects, and at least 2 years of supervisory and field leadership experience.

Physical Requirements

As a "working foreman," candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds, work from ladders or scaffolds, work overhead, and perform activities involving reaching, stretching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and bending. Ability to work in varied climate conditions and possess good balance, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and stamina for physically demanding work are essential. Safety and the ability to perform duties typical of a tradesperson are paramount.

Job Responsibilities and Skills
  • Maintain a safety-first mentality
  • Read electrical drawings and survey data, and be familiar with geospatial layout technology
  • Experience with transformers, generators, and NEC codes
  • Operate company vehicles and trailers safely
  • Install pole bases, underground conduit, raceways, and duct banks
  • Perform concrete and general construction work
  • Operate equipment such as excavators
  • Experience with iTool 6k and 12k tuggers preferred
  • Pull wire up to #750 MCM
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Pass drug screen and background check
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
  • Training or certification in relevant trades preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under time constraints
