Orbital Engineering Inc. seeks an Electrical Construction Coordinator (Electrical Transmission & Distribution) in Hammond, IN. The role focuses on planning and coordinating construction activities to meet schedule and budget goals for a designated project.

Each coordinator is assigned to a specific project within Orbital’s Electric Services region. On-site or hybrid work arrangements are possible, with travel to construction sites as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar preferred.
• 5 Years relevant construction/maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight to ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, reviews, and constructability checks.
• Inspect works during construction to ensure compliance with specs and permits.
• Identify field-purchased material needs and coordinate deliveries.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports tracking progress, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Maintain redline drawings and perform weekly safety audits.
• Occasionally climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
