Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Des Moines, IA invites a Transmission Student Intern to support project teams, assist in developing transmission design parameters, and contribute to technical design and project reviews. You will help develop standards and specifications, prepare studies and reports, collect data from maps and drawings, and assist in creating construction plans and environmental studies.

A Bachelor’s in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering is required, with excellent communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must be able to work in the United States legally for any length of time.

Responsibilities

Support project teams, marketing, business development, and technical support.
Development of transmission line design parameters, technical design and project review.
Development of transmission standards and specifications, preparation of studies and reports.
Assists in the collection and analysis of data from reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, materials lists, permits and designs for projects.
Assists designers/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
