Job summary

Prolec-Ge Waukesha, Inc. in Waukesha, WI, is seeking an Electrical Product Assembler on 2nd shift. This hands-on role builds transformer components, operates cranes and lifts, installs external accessories, and prepares units for testing and shipment.

You will follow blueprints and specifications, maintain clean work areas, train new operators, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards in a large-scale power transformer facility.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Prior experience in heavy mechanical or electrical assembly, manufacturing, or power equipment

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas (5S).
• Collaborate with team members, leads, engineering, QA and other functions.
• Follow blueprints, BOMs and specifications for exact assembly.
• Receive assignments from supervisor (verbal/written).
• Conduct contamination control and cleanliness procedures (vacuuming, magnetic sweeps).
• Train new operators.
• Use overhead cranes to lift large components and assemblies.
• Operate forklifts to move parts and assemblies.
• Install conduit, wire transformer devices and gauges; install external accessories.
• Prep units for testing and for shipment; remove components as needed.
• Prepare units and components for painting; run processing equipment (vacuum pumps, oil fill/drain).
