Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a skilled electrician to lead hands-on technical training, mentor apprentices, and support growth of field and office staff.

You will design training content, conduct evaluations, and work with SMEs to improve learning outcomes while representing Power Design in industry organizations. The role requires a licensed electrician or eligibility for Journeyman licensure in Florida, 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, and strong bilingual communication skills in

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician in Florida or eligible for Journeyman licensure
• 5+ years in commercial electrical construction
• Bilingual English/Spanish for training delivery
• Supervisory experience mentoring crews
• Passion for teaching and simplifying technical concepts
• Strong public speaking and facilitation
• Excellent organization and time management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• Experience with instructor-led or field training
• Ability to adjust training hours as needed
• Bilingual abilities a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person hands-on technical training to apprentices, and staff in facilities and on job sites
• Teach Best Practices, safety expectations, and electrical installation standards
• Conduct evaluations for new hires and promotions to assess readiness
• Mentor apprentices through classroom, virtual, and lab-based learning
• Design, develop, and maintain training content, materials, and assessments
• Partner with SMEs and field leaders to evaluate training effectiveness
• Interface with IEC, ABC chapters and other organizations
• Represent Power Design in community trade advocacy and workforce initiatives
• Perform other duties as required
