Job summary

Delaware Area Career Center is seeking an Electrical Trades Instructor for the 2027-2028 school year in Delaware, Ohio. The role reports to the Principal and offers a 185-day full-time teacher contract.

The instructor will lead and develop student skills to qualify for entry-level employment or further education, delivering instruction across career-technical pathways and adhering to state-approved curricula.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ohio CTE license or ability to obtain.
• Proper endorsements and/or certifications required by content area.
• Current Electrical Trades Certifications/IBEW Preferred.

Reports to: Principal

Work Schedule: 185-Day Full-Time Teacher Contract

Primary Job Function:

• The Delaware Area Career Center Electrical TradesCareer-Technical Instructoris responsible for leading and developing student skills sufficient to qualify them for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education. The Career-Technical Teacher will provide instruction and support in a variety of instructional settings according to DACC and state approved career-technical education courses of study and curriculum. This is also done through student-faculty engagement, fostering cooperation among students, active listening, timely feedback, high expectations and respecting diverse talents and learning styles of all students and other colleagues.
