Job summary

Delaware Area Career Center is seeking an Electrical Trades Instructor for the 2027-2028 school year in Delaware, Ohio. The role reports to the Principal and offers a 185-day full-time teacher contract.

The instructor will lead and develop student skills to qualify for entry-level employment or further education, delivering instruction across career-technical pathways and adhering to state-approved curricula.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ohio CTE license or ability to obtain.
• Proper endorsements and/or certifications required by content area.
• Current Electrical Trades Certifications/IBEW Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop student skills to qualify for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education.
• Provide instruction and support in career-technical courses per state standards.
• Foster engagement, active listening, timely feedback, and high expectations.
