Job summary

The State of Colorado is hiring an Electrical Trades II technician at Buckley Space Force Base. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems at the base and remote sites, with long hours during weather events.

A journeyman electrician license from the Colorado Electrical Board is required, and a CDL is preferred. The position requires safety compliance, ability to read codes and blueprints, and willingness to work in confined spaces, up to 75 feet, and in remote

Qualifications

• Current, valid licensure as a journeyman electrician from the Colorado Electrical Board.
• Must provide evidence of a current and valid licensure with your applicant to be considered.
• No substitutions allowed.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, design, modify, alter, repair and estimate electrical apparatus and equipment for light, heat, power, and other purposes.
• Perform electrical maintenance on facility systems.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate and repair electrical systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair airfield lighting and control systems.
• Read and interpret NEC, UFC, technical orders, diagrams, schematics, FAA regulations, and building plans.
• Complete material ordering, time accounting, work orders, and other admin duties.
• Operate and record information to ensure effective operation of electrical equipment.
• Adhere to safety requirements and report violations; ensure tools are maintained.
