Job summary

RESA Power is seeking an Outside Sales professional in Syracuse, NY to grow the electrical testing and services business across critical facilities. You’ll develop new customers, maintain relationships with contractors and end users, and drive revenue through testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance solutions.

Work with engineering and operations to deliver technically sound, commercially viable solutions, while expanding RESA Power’s local market share in testing and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; minimum five years of relevant electrical industry, technical sales, field service, or business development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance services.
• Working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, cables, and associated equipment.
• Familiarity with ANSI/NETA ATS, ANSI/NETA MTS, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales goals within the assigned territory, with a primary focus on electrical testing and maintenance services.
• Actively prospect and develop new customers through outbound business development, project tracking, contractor relationships, referrals, industry networking, and targeted account development.
• Build and grow RESA Power’s local electrical testing and services business by identifying new markets, customers, projects, and recurring service opportunities.
• Develop new business and expand existing relationships across industrial, commercial, utility, data center, healthcare, manufacturing, and other mission-critical facilities.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, EPCs, general contractors, engineering firms, end users, utilities, and project owners through regular customer visits, site walks, and proactive account development.
• Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships beyond testing and maintenance through RESA Power’s broader electrical infrastructure lifecycle capabilities.
