Vertiv seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV. The role requires 7+ years of HV testing experience and strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards, with travel up to 75% across regional/national projects.

Eligible candidates will use advanced test equipment (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF) and contribute to detailed engineering reports while mentoring junior technicians

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification in good standing or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficient with NETA MTS/ATS standards and protective relays.

Responsabilités

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field and serve as technical lead on projects.
