Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform high‑voltage testing and fault analysis across utility and data center environments. This full‑time role requires up to 75% travel and offers strong OT, signing bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work with premier testing equipment, lead field teams, and ensure compliance with NETA and NFPA standards while advancing toward technical leadership within Vertiv's ERS/HVM divisions.

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with listed test equipment and interpreting one-/three-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers and switchgear.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field; serve as technical lead on teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA.
