Job summary

JellTech Consulting seeks an Electrical Technician in Milwaukee for a long-term contract. You will work hands-on in an electrical test lab, building MCCs and switchgear, and conducting UL and IEC compliance tests in high-current environments.

Responsibilities include assembling components, preparing test setups, documenting results, and ensuring safety with LOTO and 5S practices. Collaboration with development and lab engineers is expected to support design verification and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and LOTO procedures.
• Experience with high-energy systems and safe work practices.
• Familiarity with 5S principles and Six Sigma concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure MCCs and switchgear test samples according to drawings and specs.
• Assemble components for standard and custom test configurations.
• Prepare test setups for high current, high power testing.
• Conduct tests per UL 845/UL 891 and IEC 61439 series.
• Document test procedures, setups, results, and observations.
• Capture data, anomalies, and deviations in formal records.
• Maintain lab safety, cleanliness, and audit readiness.
• Support design verification with development engineers.
