Job summary

ABB is seeking a Test Technician to support product development and maintain the readiness of the test environment, facilities, and equipment. You will perform lab testing, troubleshoot circuits, and generate reports for certification agencies under engineer guidance.

The role involves on-site work, collaboration with design engineers, and travel to external test facilities to support UL, CSA, and IEC certifications.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform lab testing to verify designs.
• Experience with using test equipment to capture measurements.
• Strong understanding of safety and EMC standards (UL/CSA/IEC).

Responsibilities

• Support product development while maintaining test environments and facilities.
• Coordinate and perform lab test activities to meet specs and standards.
• Design, build, and maintain test setups and fixtures per engineering specs.
• Travel to external test facilities as needed for certification activities.
