Job summary

Federal Pacific is seeking a Test Technician for the 1st and 2nd shifts to perform electrical tests, troubleshoot circuits, and inspect assemblies. The role supports manufacturing with adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include following instructions, testing and diagnosing electrical and mechanical components, and collaborating with engineering to resolve issues. Overtime may be required to sustain production.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs.
• Proficient with computer operation and configuring communication parameters for PLCs or protective relaying.
• Understanding of transformer concepts and connections (Wye/Delta).
• Familiarity with single and three-phase circuits.
• Knowledge of protective relaying and control schemes.
• Understand and promote safe work practices near energized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and follow shop procedures, paperwork, and instructions.
• Manipulate apparatus to required workstations and positions.
• Use hand tools and air tools as needed.
• Determine proper testing methods for components.
• Test, troubleshoot, inspect electrical, electronic, and mechanical parts; verify quality.
• Interpret engineering and customer specs and inspection requirements.
• Assess workmanship quality and circuit operation.
• Assist with special assignments with supervision.
• Observe safety and quality standards; participate in Kaizen and team efforts.
• Collaborate with Engineering to solve problems and improve documentation.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area with solvents and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform overtime as required.
