Job summary

You will use meters and software tools, train others, and participate in best-practice sharing, with emphasis on documentation and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in testing power distribution equipment.
• Knowledge of power distribution components (breakers, relays).
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect low voltage switchboards and panel boards to applicable standards.
• Use multimeter and electrical theory to verify power readings and wiring.
• Use Hipot, test cart, hand tools and various other tools to aid testing.
• Use specialized software for testing/inspecting when required (WinPM, PowerConfig, Step7, MicroWin, WinCC Flexible, SAP).
• Maintain records/reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
• Assist in training other specialists and employees.
• Participate in best practice sharing with other facilities.
• Maintain and improve test procedures and documentation.
