Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Electrical Test Technician - 3rd Shift in Santa Ana, CA. This full-time 32.5-hour weekly role offers benefits from day one and a $29.80 base hourly rate plus a $3.00 shift premium per hour. The position runs 10pm–5am with potential overtime.

The ideal candidate will perform system tests, troubleshoot electrical problems, and document results while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
2 years of electrical test or related electronics experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Relocation assistance is not available; only candidates within 50 miles will be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records.
Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level.
Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards.
Organize work by receiving work requests; studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Testing systems and electrical components; determining cause of problems and requirements to solve problems.
Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, out of phase transformer, variac transformer resistive load bank, hi-pot tester, current clamp, computer, and infrared camera.
