Job summary

Benshaw in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Test Technician to perform functional electrical testing and troubleshooting on Benshaw electronic components, panels, and assemblies. Qualifications

• 2+ years experience testing/troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies.
• Completed High School diploma/GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.
• Associates in Electronics or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic panels and assemblies down to the component.
• Ability to read a schematic.
• Computer skills - Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Dependability with the willingness to work overtime
• This role aligns with previous military training as an Electronic Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform final visual/electrical/functional tests on complete range of Benshaw products.
• Achieve/maintain Company’s Quality goals.
• Support Company in achieving/maintaining Company’s goal for On Time Shipments.
• Interface with Engineering Department during product testing to ensure proper/desired operation.
• Interface with Engineering Department regarding revisions to test procedures and aid in development of new procedures.
• Feedback to Manufacturing Departments any problems found during product testing and provide support/training to correct the problem.
• Report quality problems/component failures in a timely manner.
• Process nonconforming parts and components per the Benshaw MRB process.
• Perform preventative maintenance on test fixtures and/or associated test equipment.
• Understand the functional attributes of test fixtures and/or associated test equipment.
• Perform and maintain the established Benshaw 5S requirements.
• Verify PPE is undamaged, functional and used as required.
• Develop/follow Safety Policies of the Department.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 or more hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
