Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking an Electrical Test Technician II/III under close supervision to assist in limited electrical testing. The role requires a High School diploma and a two-year electrical/electronic degree or equivalent plus experience, plus a valid Ohio driver’s license.

CDL is optional, with expenses reimbursed. Responsibilities include learning basic test procedures, reading substation prints, and assisting in data collection for reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with a two-year electrical/electronic degree or equivalent education plus two years’ experience.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license; CDL optional with reimbursement of expenses.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits and basic computer software/systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrical Test Technicians IIs/IIIs in performing limited tests required by the department.
• Drive company vehicles to and from various equipment locations, substations, and facilities.
• Read and become familiar with substation, distribution, and transmission prints; set up test equipment.
• Prepare data and assist in reports for tests performed in stations, substations, or field.
