Job summary

RTX in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Laboratory team. You will design and build lab environments that test aerospace components, from power systems to electronic engine controls, while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in industrial, facilities, test/lab, or similar electrical engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced test environments that simulate real-world operating conditions for aerospace products and systems.
• Lead the design, specification, procurement, and fabrication oversight of electrical power and control systems.
• Develop and implement 3-phase power electronics and distribution systems, motor drives, and facility controls.
• Design and program PLC-based safety interlock systems and ladder logic controls.
• Oversee installation, checkout, troubleshooting, and commissioning of complex test setups.
• Create product interface wiring harnesses and electrical schematics.
