Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is expanding its product test lab in Etters, PA. We seek an Electrical Test Engineer to lead electrical performance testing for connectors and related assemblies, defining tests and reporting results.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of hands-on testing, data analysis, and scripting for test automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years in electrical product testing, qualification, or validation; connector experience preferred.
• Experience with precision resistance measurements, power supplies, data acquisition, and test automation.
• Ability to interpret schematics, analyze data and uncertainty, troubleshoot test setups, and write clear reports.
• Strong organization and ability to work with technicians and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into documented test plans with criteria and reporting.
• Own test setup and method development, including fixtures and calibration checks.
• Maintain traceable records of samples, raw data, and results; analyze deviations.
• Plan schedules for qualification programs and urgent requests with labs.
• Investigate unexpected results and recommend follow-up tests or design changes.
• Build and validate measurement setups using four-wire methods and safety controls.
• Coordinate with mechanical/materials engineers to link electrical changes to physics.
• Collaborate with signal integrity engineers for high-speed measurements.
