Job summary

Samtec Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to support the HDR (High Data Rate) Cable Assembly Work Center and all Cable Electrical Testing processes. You will design test tooling, review PCB designs and fixtures, and create and qualify test programs for reliable HDR testing.

The role requires collaboration with global teams, troubleshooting of High-Speed test systems, and participation in serialization and transfer projects. Strong communication and hands-on engineering skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of PCB design experience.
• Familiar with LSET, HSET, and signal integrity testing.
• Experience in engineering design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Test Tooling assemblies for Electrical Test First Time Build of cable assemblies.
• Review PCB designs and fixtures for Electrical Test and provide feedback to designers.
• Create Process Documentation for Electrical Test processes.
• Create and qualify Test Programs for Electrical Test.
• Cooperate with SIG ATG and global Samtec teams to build and qualify new Test Systems.
• Support production floor for troubleshooting Low and High-Speed Test systems.
• Assist with serialization system maintenance and hardware transfers.
