Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group LLC is seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to support development, integration, and testing of the SensXR system—a modular, multi-threat platform.

This role blends electronics assembly with PCB design support, part selection, and prototyping. Independent work and problem-solving are valued on DoD CBRNE projects.

The position is on-site with limited hybrid flexibility and requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in electronics.
• 3+ years hands-on electronics assembly, integration and testing.
• Experience with PCB design tools (KiCad) and basic circuit simulation (SPICE).
• Skilled in soldering, wiring and crimping to industry standards.
• Familiarity with Arduino IDE or similar environments for prototyping.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and datasheets.
• Proficiency with test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
• Ability to work independently and solve problems with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and evaluate electronic components using vendor catalogs.
• Read datasheets to confirm specifications, pinouts, and integration requirements.
• Maintain part libraries and BOMs, proposing alternatives when supply constraints occur.
